TMA Talk | TMA Contemporary Jury Panel

TMA Contemporary, the Trout Museum of Art’s annual juried exhibition, showcases the work of Wisconsin’s top visual artists. With over 1,000 artworks submitted, each carrying its own unique voice and perspective, the juror’s responsibility was to curate a selection that not only showcased Wisconsin’s artistic talent but also represented the highest standards of artistic excellence. Annually, 100 to 125 works will be displayed over TMA’s three floors, selected from the 1,000+ entries received.

The selection process, overseen by a panel of jurors with expertise in the art field, emphasizes both artistic quality and originality of concepts. Artists draw inspiration from a myriad of sources, including their surroundings, personal experiences,  the environment, and their imagination.

Hear from the jurors themselves on July 13: How they selected works for exhibition and how they selected the artists who would receive awards.

TMA Talks are free to members.  Become a member for as little as $15 for the year. Membership includes unlimited access to exhibitions, discounts on classes and in the TMA Store, and perks like free admission to TMA Talks. Also open to day-of exhibit admissions.
