Drawing in Pen & Ink | Ages 14+

This 2-week course explores drawing techniques and concepts. It is intended to develop expression and discipline in drawing with emphasis on materials. Students will create a variety of drawings such as still life, shapes, landscape, and more while using and experimenting with a variety of media. Students will develop their skills in close observation, discipline, visual sensitivity, patience, and eye-hand coordination.

The instructor will guide students to reaching their greatest potential and making works of art to be proud of using a variety of techniques and media. For students who have some beginner knowledge of drawing or have drawn before.

This workshop meets twice on Apr 10 & 17.

Ray Fehrenbach | Art Educator 

Born in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Ray Fehrenbach attended UW – Green Bay & UW – Oshkosh where his field of study was the fine arts. His main focus being classical drawing & printmaking.

For 10 years he worked inside the comic book industry, working full time as the Art Director for Kitchen Sink Press, where he worked with artists such as Will Ebner (Spirit), Harvey Kurtzman (Mad Magazine / Playboy), Milton Caniff (Steve Canyon), Mark Schultz (3 Time Best Artist), Kevin Eastman (Ninja Turtles), Pete Poplaski, Denis Kitchen, and Charles Burns.

His Freelance client list includes Dark Horse, DC Comics, Marvel Comics, Fantagraphic Books, Eclipse Comics, & CPM LTD. Currently, he has focused on his freelance career, displaying his drawings and paintings throughout Wisconsin.
