Clue 1: Place of “Pike.”

“Kaukauna” is a name derived from the Menominee language, which belongs to the Algonquian language family. It is believed to mean “portage” or “place of pike,” referring to a location where fish, such as pike, were abundant or where people would portage around rapids in the Fox River. 

Clue 2: 56 paces North or South

The bridge runs north to south and is approximately 140 feet long (56 paces) 

Clue 3: The riddle’s answer is a bridge.
