This workshop meets for 6 sessions on the following Monday and Fridays: January 27, 31, February 3, 7, 10, 17, 2025. (excludes Valentines’ Day (Feb 14))
Discover the art of facial sculpture in “Making Faces”! In this hands-on class, you’ll master the techniques of sculpting a face in clay, delving into the intricacies of facial anatomy and proportions. Start by crafting solid busts, then hollow them out for a refined finish. After firing, you’ll bring your creations to life with vibrant paints. Whether you’re a budding artist or just passionate about clay, this class will help you capture the essence of expression and detail in your own sculptural masterpieces!

Meghan Sullivan | Art Educator
Meghan Sullivan received her BFA from the Massachusetts College of Art and her MFA from the University of Nebraska. She has exhibited nationally and internationally. Sullivan has been an artist in residence in many studios, including Mudflat Studio, c.r.e.t.a. Rome, Studio Shiro Oni in Japan, and the Skopelos Foundation for the Arts in Greece. She has taught at the Gulf Coast State College, Pacific University, and is currently an Assistant Professor of Art at Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin.
