Dear members and friends,

We are saddened to share the news of the passing of our dear friend and benefactor, Dr. Monroe E. Trout (1931 – 2024). He was not only a generous supporter but also an important member of our community whose impact reverberated far beyond the bounds of the Trout Museum of Art.

Dr. Trout played a crucial role in our mission, demonstrating unwavering dedication and passion for the visual arts. His philanthropic spirit and commitment to bettering our community have left an indelible mark on the museum and art education, and we are profoundly grateful for the positive changes he brought about.

As we mourn the loss of Dr. Trout, let us also take a moment to reflect on the incredible legacy he leaves behind. His generosity touched the lives of many, and his impact will continue to be felt for years to come.

Our thoughts and deepest condolences go out to Sandra Trout and their family during this difficult time. May we find solace in the shared memories we have of Dr. Trout, and may his legacy inspire us to continue the important work we do at the Trout Museum of Art.
