Artist Irineo Medina worked collaboratively with refugee students from Kaleidoscope Academy to create a body of work reflective of the various countries these students immigrated from. The students pulled memories from their different walks of life to create drawings that represent their home. Working for over a month and a half of after school classes, they turned their drawings into linocut relief prints. After the students hand pulled their own prints, Irineo editioned them for the students off his studio press.

The pictures come from where I used to live in Rwanda. I lived in a refugee camp. It shows my life and the important things to me. There was happiness and sadness. I added the UNHCR because that is the organization that helped us with food and shelter.
