Saturday, May 17  – Session Two 11am-1pm

Join us for a hands-on and creative Macramé Flower Workshop, where you’ll learn the art of making stunning macramé flowers using various knotting techniques. In this engaging two-session workshop, you’ll immerse yourself in the world of macramé as you master the clove hitch knot to craft exquisite flower petals that can brighten up any space.

Session One: In our first meeting, you will be introduced to the fundamentals of the clove hitch knot, an essential knot for creating the flower petals. Once your petals are complete, you’ll have the opportunity to personalize your creation by dip-dyeing each one in a spectrum of gorgeous colors, letting your creativity shine through!

Session Two: After allowing your dip-dyed petals to dry, you’ll learn how to assemble the petals to form a beautiful macramé flower. Our instructor will guide you through the finishing touches, ensuring that you leave with a stunning piece that you can proudly display or gift to someone special.

Whether you’re a beginner or have some experience with macramé, this workshop offers you a welcoming and supportive environment to develop your skills, express your creativity, and connect with fellow craft enthusiasts. All materials will be provided, so come ready to create and have fun!

All supplies included. TMA members receive 10% off all registrations.

Alyssa Burke | Art Educator

Alyssa Burke is the owner and creator of Songbird Spirals.

I’m a textile artist working from my home studio surrounded by plants and peaceful vibes. I’ve always felt most at home when I am creating something. Music and art were always important in my family. My favorite gifts growing up were art supplies, how-to books, musical instruments, and a sewing machine. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin Green Bay in 2012. Although painting was my focus at the time, I found my way back to fiber art during the pandemic. Keeping my hands busy tying knots provided comfort when the world felt out of control. Workshops have become a major focus for me lately. I love sharing the meditative effects of macramé with others and I am excited to see where this business takes me! Thank you for being here! Your support means the world to me.
