Intro to Watercolor Skies | Ages 12+
In this workshop, learn to paint breathtaking skies using the beautiful medium of watercolor! Whether you’re new to watercolor or looking to enhance your skills, this class will guide you through the process of creating vibrant and dynamic skies.
You’ll explore essential techniques like wet into wet, wet on dry, and glazing to create different types of skies, from soft, cloudy atmospheres to dramatic sunset hues. The class will also cover color theory and tips for blending and layering colors to capture light, depth, and mood. We’ll discuss materials, tools, and the best practices to get the most out of your watercolor paintings.
By the end of the session, you’ll have the skills to paint a variety of sky scenes, bringing the beauty of the sky to life on paper. All materials are provided, and no prior painting experience is needed!

Ray Fehrenbach | Art Educator
Born in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Ray Fehrenbach attended UW – Green Bay & UW – Oshkosh where his field of study was the fine arts. His main focus being classical drawing & printmaking.
For 10 years he worked inside the comic book industry, working full time as the Art Director for Kitchen Sink Press, where he worked with artists such as Will Ebner (Spirit), Harvey Kurtzman (Mad Magazine / Playboy), Milton Caniff (Steve Canyon), Mark Schultz (3 Time Best Artist), Kevin Eastman (Ninja Turtles), Pete Poplaski, Denis Kitchen, and Charles Burns.
His Freelance client list includes, Dark Horse, DC Comics, Marvel Comics, Fantagraphic Books, Eclipse Comics, & CPM LTD. Currently, he has focused on his freelance career, displaying his drawing and paintings throughout Wisconsin.
