TMA Contemporary
May 18 – Sept 8, 2024
Exhibit Admission: Members always visit free with their TMA membership, starting as low as $15/year. One-day passes also available at $10.
TMA Contemporary, the annual juried exhibition at the Trout Museum of Art, provides a comprehensive snapshot of the state’s current visual art scene. Showcasing artworks from across Wisconsin created over the past year, the exhibit embraces all forms of media, ideas, and voices, transcending traditional boundaries to reflect the diverse and dynamic nature of contemporary art. This year’s exhibition features 99 works by 82 artists, representing 31 cities throughout the state.
Annually, TMA extends an invitation to artists across Wisconsin to share works created in the past year. A panel of jurors review the entries, prioritizing artistic quality and innovative ideas. Artists draw inspiration from many sources—be it societal dynamics, personal narrative, environmental motifs, or their imagination.
