EXPLANATION OF CLUES

Click only to learn how these clues led to their final destination.

Clue #1:
The riddle led to Lawe Street in Appleton.

Clue #2:
The riddle “This island is not tropical” refers to the sculpture being located on an island. By definition, “an island is a piece of land completely surrounded by water.”

Clue #3:
Erich Weisz was the birth name of Harry Houdini, and the sculpture is a Houdini-inspired sculpture. It was also originally located in Houdini Plaza before being put in storage and then eventually moved to its current location; hence “disappear and reappear”, which is a common magic trick associated with magicians and one of Harry Houdini’s greatest tricks.

Clue 4:
The sculpture “Metamorphosis” is an abstract metal box that is draped with a padlocked chain and pays tribute to Harry Houdini’s famous tricks where he is chained up without a key.
